As an Associate in the Firmwide Finance Business Controller team, you will play a key role in delivering tax data and technology automation for VAT processes. You will partner with Project Management, Corporate Tax, Financial Control, Lines of Business, Operations, and Technology teams to drive the Tax Data & Technology Transformation Programme. In this role, you will help shape data strategy, support programme governance, and foster collaboration across multiple geographies. Job responsibilities
- Own the creation and maintenance of Data Requirements Documents, including field mapping, data model management, and data dictionary updates.
- Profile and analyze upstream source systems to confirm data attributes and summarize data gaps for stakeholders.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather inputs and maintain clear communication as data requirements evolve.
- Support post go-live data quality issues, lead root-cause analysis, and coordinate with relevant teams.
- Execute data quality testing to validate upstream requirements, monitor issues, and support remediation efforts.
- Support delivery activities including test planning, execution tracking, stakeholder communications, defect triage, and sign-off coordination.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 2 years of banking or finance experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; eager to understand root causes and concepts.
- Self-starter able to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Understanding of finance or accounting processes within banking.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Working knowledge of SQL or Python.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint.
