Title: Lead Turnaround Coordinator
Location: St. Gabriel, LA supporting Olin Louisiana Operations in Plaquemine, LA and St. Gabriel, LA
Salary: $87,000 - $105,000
Schedule: 4/10
The Lead Turnaround Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing turnarounds, coordinating all aspects from planning through startup to ensure safe and efficient completion within tight deadlines. The role leads cross-functional teams and oversee key elements including logistics, cost control, and scope development, while ensuring regulatory compliance and driving performance across safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
Lead Turnaround Coordinator Essential Job Functions:
- Develop overall turnaround strategy, confirm scope, assist in forming detailed schedules, and estimate costs to secure funding
- Act as a liaison between operations, maintenance, engineering, and external contractors; manage permits, logistics, and resource allocation
- Identify task activities necessary to execute job, identify/solicit safety information and requirements to perform job tasks, and plan job sequences for all disciplines; consider constructability, maintainability, and cost when developing plans and requesting materials
- Act as a focal point to resolve obstacles during execution of planned jobs by assisting others to understand job package and scope; track planning effectiveness and improve the plans as needed
- Leading on-site during the turnaround, ensuring adherence to schedule, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Resolve field issues in real time, escalating technical or operational concerns as required
Lead Turnaround Coordinator Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of craft maintenance, maintenance planning, or operations experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong planning, scheduling, time management, and organizational skills
- Must have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel; experience with Adobe Acrobat (PDF) and SAP preferred; ability to quickly learn new systems
- Ability to work 4/10 schedule and be flexible during off hours to support plant operations
- Prior Olin experience preferred
- Must possess a valid US driver's license and be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
