We’re looking for a Sr. Manager of Consumer & Shopper Insights to join our Customer & Market Intelligence team. In this role, you will ensure Albertsons Companies maintains relevance with the shopper of today and the future by instilling a deep knowledge of the needs of our customers. You’ll lead the design, execution, and storytelling of research that empowers stakeholders with shopper knowledge that drives better business decisions, strategy, and grows shopper loyalty. You’ll also own scaling and democratizing research capabilities and foster a culture of customer curiosity & empathy across the organization.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end qualitative and quantitative research projects from design and execution to analysis, implications, and final deliverables.
- Translate complex data into clear, visually compelling insights deliverables that influence strategy and inspire action.
- Manage multiple projects, internal partners, and external vendors in a fast-paced environment to deliver on time and within budget.
- Synthesize insights from custom research, household analytics, and syndicated sources to guide business decisions.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders both in-person and over Teams to deliver insights and build better processes.
- Engage with teams throughout the organization to drive insight resource adoption.
- Proactively collaborate and consult across teams to understand priorities, recommend methodologies, and embed insights into decision-making.
- Stay ahead of industry & shopper trends as well as innovative research methods and delivery formats to drive deeper insights, engagement, and promote the capabilities of the broader team.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, research, psychology, statistics, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
- 7 plus years in consumer and shopper insights and data-driven decision-making at retail and CPG organizations recognized as leaders in customer-focused strategies.
- Proven ability to translate research and customer insights (loyalty, POS, panel data) into actionable strategies and results.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of research scoping, design, interpretation, and reporting.
- Experience driving end to end solutions with product managers and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, analytical capabilities, and synthesis skills.
- Proven ability to turn insights into intuitive, visual stories and deliverables (e.g., infographics).
- Experience designing and building new capabilities/tools leveraging research as the foundation.
- Ability to build relationships with local & remote stakeholders to drive the use of research, new processes, and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong executive presentation skills, able to simplify complex ideas and speak-up constructively.
- Self-starter with resilience, agility, and personal accountability for results.
- Ability to succeed in ambiguous and unstructured situations, hands-on team player.
- Advanced MS Office skills, with experience in Power BI and statistical tools a plus
