Lead Procurement (UAE National)
Job Description
- Lead and manage global non-technology procurement categories including HR services, FM, marketing, and professional services.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing and category management strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Assign and oversee RFPs, sourcing projects, and day-to-day procurement activities within the team.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliable service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and achieve measurable procurement savings.
- Manage end-to-end procure-to-pay activities, ensuring timely issuance of purchase orders and process efficiency.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, digitalization, and process improvement.
- Act as a key point of escalation for stakeholder issues, contract disputes, and supplier performance concerns.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team through clear KPIs, performance management, and training.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Professional procurement certification preferred (e.g., CIPS, SPSM or equivalent).
- 2 years of progressive procurement experience
- Proven experience managing non-technology procurement categories in a banking or service-based industry.
- Strong track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Experience working with ERP systems, eProcurement platforms, eTenders, and eAuctions.
- Solid understanding of local, regional, and international supply markets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a global or multi-cultural environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to drive process improvements, manage risk, and deliver measurable business value.
