As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support our leadership team in delivering an unparalleled, hospitality-driven ownership experience. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional who thrives in a luxury environment where relationships, attention to detail, and white-glove service define success.
In this role, you will partner closely with the Service Manager to ensure every client interaction reflects the premium standards of the Holman Motorcars brand. You will play a key role in maintaining seamless operations, supporting your team, and driving both customer satisfaction and department profitability.
Target compensation for a first-time manager in the range of $130,000-$150,000, plus an opportunity to achieve a stretch bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Service Manager to lead daily service operations across multiple ultra-luxury brands
- Support and mentor service advisors, technicians, and support staff to achieve performance and customer satisfaction goals
- Ensure a world-class hospitality experience for every client interaction
- Assist with workflow management, scheduling, and operational efficiency within the service department
- Monitor KPIs, profitability, and service quality standards
- Approve expenses including rental vehicles, goodwill adjustments, and aftermarket warranty considerations
- Provide operational support to the service office, including scheduling, booking, and ensuring proper phone handling
- Help maintain balanced workflow and efficient scheduling across the department
- Assist with onboarding new hires across advisor, clerical, and valet roles
- Monitor staffing levels, employee schedules, breaks, and coverage across all service areas
- Coach and counsel employees on performance, providing ongoing feedback and development support
- Partner with the Warranty Administrator to review and address rejected or underpaid claims, assisting with appeals
- Track and analyze advisor performance metrics to identify coaching opportunities
- Review daily cash tickets for accuracy and upsell opportunities
- Participate in daily service huddles and contribute to team alignment
- Assist with closing procedures, security, and coordination of team training initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive service experience
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of leadership experience within a service department
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and support a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to balance customer satisfaction with business objectives
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to delivering a luxury-level experience

Regular Full-Time

Temporary or Part-Time
In geographic areas with statutory paid sick leave, part-time and temporary employees will receive a paid sick leave benefit that meets the mandated requirements.
Pay:
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $66,320.00 - $94,505.00 USD annually for full time employees.
