We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of VCM I&E Supervisor with our Ingleside Plant located in Gregory, Texas.
Essential Job Duties:
- Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority. Assigns daily I/E work activities to ensure plant operating continuity.
- Coordinates work schedules in various plant areas based on job priority with various work groups.
- Requisitions materials for instrument maintenance.
- Coordinates activities of mechanical and contract maintenance personnel for instrument part of plant turnarounds and/or outages.
- Initiates improvements in techniques of repair and improvement in materials.
- Maintains maintenance repair history on instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Ensures that preventive maintenance repairs are performed as scheduled.
- Advises engineering on installation status of capital jobs.
- Ensures that work assignments are performed safely and efficiently.
- Reduces repetitive maintenance through failure analysis.
- Provides appropriate training for new hires and existing instrument technicians.
- Conducts safety meetings to promote safety awareness and practices.
- Assures compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and operating permits. Also, promotes all environmental policies and procedures, including OXYMIN, Environmental Program Management, and the Environmental Procedures Manual.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Five plus years practical maintenance experience in manufacturing environment which includes a good working knowledge of equipment, materials, techniques, and safeguards in respective discipline.
- Must be experienced in the repair of electrical and/or electronic industrial equipment and associated equipment.
- Should be familiar with OSHA regulations and have good experience in effective communication and training skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Must be able to respond to off hour emergencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.
- Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
