A Day in the Life
The Senior Program Manager will lead borrower acquisition, pipeline development, and counseling services for Project Home's disaster mortgage product. This is a contract, full-time equivalent role reporting to the Vice President of Programs. The Senior Program Manager will establish and manage an ecosystem of partners including builders, funders, and HUD-Certified Counselors to engage a pipeline of 750-1,000 potential borrowers with the goal of converting 250-300 clients into borrowers during the pilot phase.
This role requires deep expertise in mortgage lending or housing counseling, exceptional relationship management skills, and the ability to design and implement best-in-class training systems that ensure borrowers receive trauma-informed, client-centered support throughout their home rebuilding journey. Some travel may be required.

What You’ll Be Doing
Borrower Pipeline Development & Engagement
Develop and execute comprehensive borrower engagement and customer pipeline strategy
Lead customer outreach efforts and coordinate Lendistry Customer Experience Center (CEC) integration
Beta test the loan application process with selected borrowers and iterate based on feedback
Ensure client satisfaction and verify borrowers have deep understanding of the product and its fit for their home rebuilding needs
Manage engagement of 750-1,000 potential borrowers to achieve conversion goals
Partner Ecosystem Management
Identify, recruit, and manage 3-4 HUD-certified housing counseling partners to provide product counseling and borrower support
Build and maintain a coalition of vetted construction-to-permanent (C2P) lenders of appropriate size and scale
Establish referral relationships for borrowers based on income level, assets, and other qualifying criteria
Coordinate partners to cover the full continuum of borrower needs, including identifying banks for lot/land loans for ADUs
Develop strategic partnerships that support borrowers below 100% AMI and above 200% AMI
.Training & Education Systems
Create best-in-class training materials including Mortgage 101 and disaster product education
Set up and manage learning management system (LMS) to streamline client education, referrals, and follow-up
Design and coordinate live training delivery for up to 600 clients through partner organizations
Ensure trauma-informed counseling services are integrated throughout the client journey
Develop training capacity across partner organizations to deliver consistent, high-quality borrower education
Product Access & User Experience
Design borrower-facing product access and user experience in coordination with Lendistry teams
Support Lendistry Marketing in developing external, customer-facing product content including templates and translations
Define and document training and borrower engagement steps for seamless client journey
Ensure product counseling meets HUD certification standards and borrower protection requirements
Strategic Support & Coordination
Support leadership team in pre-briefings with policymakers, community leaders, and key organizations
Assist with public promotion and outreach activities as needed
Coordinate with Lendistry and external stakeholders on program implementation
Contribute to strategic partnership development and coalition-building efforts
Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise
Required
5+ years of experience in mortgage lending, housing counseling, or related homeownership programs
Deep knowledge of mortgage products, lending processes, and regulatory requirements
Proven track record of building and managing high-performing partner networks
Experience designing and delivering financial education or housing counseling programs
Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams and external partners simultaneously
Excellent relationship management and communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups
Demonstrated ability to work with disaster-affected populations with cultural competency and trauma-informed approach
Proficiency with learning management systems and digital education platforms
Preferred
Experience within the Los Angeles HUD Home counseling ecosystem
HUD-certified housing counselor certification
Knowledge of CDFI lending practices and community development finance
Experience with disaster recovery programs or crisis response initiatives
Familiarity with construction lending, ADU financing, or renovation loan products
Background in program design for underserved or low-to-moderate income communities

Compensation Range
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000 - $125,000 annually.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Physical Requirements
This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting (approximately 95%), repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional standing, lifting, carrying of 20lbs or less, walking, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, and reaching above the shoulder. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
