The Pharmacy 340B Analyst supports the delivery of 340B consulting services for health system and covered entity customers. This role is responsible for conducting program analysis, identifying operational and financial optimization opportunities, supporting compliance-focused assessments, and contributing to customer deliverables across a range of 340B engagements.
The Pharmacy 340B Analyst plays a key supporting role within the 340B consulting team, helping translate data, program findings, and operational observations into actionable recommendations. This position is designed for an individual with foundational 340B knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to support both customer-facing work and internal solution development.
Responsibilities:
Support customer engagements related to 340B program performance, operational design, and optimization opportunities. Review 340B program data, purchasing patterns, accumulations, split billing outputs, and related reports to identify trends, risks, and potential areas for improvement. Assist in evaluating program structure, eligibility considerations, and operational workflows across hospital and contract pharmacy settings. Support analysis of diversion risk, duplicate discount risk, and other compliance-related considerations within the 340B program.
Customer Deliverables & Consulting Execution
Prepare analyses, summaries, reports, and presentation materials to support customer engagements and consulting recommendations. Translate data findings into clear, organized outputs for review by Managing Consultants and Managing Directors. Support development of customer-ready materials related to 340B operational assessments, financial opportunity reviews, and program optimization initiatives. Participate in customer meetings, internal project discussions, and engagement planning activities as appropriate.
Financial & Operational Insight
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve 340B program savings, operational efficiency, and program performance. Support financial analyses related to program capture, purchasing alignment, contract pharmacy performance, and inventory or replenishment trends. Work with senior team members to quantify customer opportunities and support recommendation development. Contribute to analyses that help customers better understand the relationship between program operations, compliance, and financial outcomes.
Internal Collaboration & Solution Development
Collaborate closely with Managing Directors, Managing Consultants, and other team members to support successful execution of consulting engagements Support internal knowledge development, documentation, and standardization of analytical approaches, templates, and deliverables. Contribute to the refinement of 340B consulting methodologies and the development of scalable tools and processes. Maintain awareness of regulatory updates, market trends, and operational practices affecting 340B covered entities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in 340B program operations, pharmacy operations, healthcare consulting, pharmacy analytics, or related healthcare services. Foundational knowledge of 340B program structure, terminology, and operational considerations. Experience working with data sets, reports, and Excel-based analysis to support business or operational decision-making. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and support deadlines across concurrent projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required. This role may require up to 20% travel per year and if FULLY REMOTE.
Preferred Backgrounds
Health system or covered entity 340B program support roles Pharmacy operations, pharmacy finance, or pharmacy analytics roles. Healthcare consulting environments supporting pharmacy or hospital customers. Experience with split billing systems, contract pharmacy arrangements, or 340B audit/readiness activities.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business administration, supply chain, or a related field or equivalent experience required. 2+ years of experience in quality assurance/quality management within a regulated and/or operational services environment (e.g., GxP/GDP, logistics/distribution), or a related field required.
Certified ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (QMS), or equivalent preferred.
Skils and Knowledge:
Working knowledge of GCP, GMP, GDP, and applicable quality and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
Ability to work under general guidance and prioritize assigned workload within a defined plan.
Ability to identify straightforward issues, apply established methods or precedents, and escalate atypical items with supporting context.
Ability to maintain accurate, auditable, and traceable documentation to support compliance and effective handoffs.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to clarify requirements, provide status updates, and coordinate within the function.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage records, action tracking, and review inputs consistently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality management systems, with the ability to use standard tools and reports to support execution and reporting.
Full command of English language, written and oral.
Proficiency with standard productivity tools and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
