Job Description
Overview
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for maintaining patient spending accounts, completing admission and discharge set ups, maintaining files for audits and Medicaid/Social Security packets.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide strong customer service.
- Receive and enter all deposits to patient spending accounts.
- Record all purchase transactions for patient spending accounts.
- Maintain patient files.
- Reconcile Patient Trust and Bank Accounts
- Generate Admit documents and process Admits in Medhost.
- Process discharges in Medhost.
- Work with Medicaid and Social Security on applications and renewal packets.
- Work With Patient Trust Auditors
- Census report generation and compilation.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent Required.
- Knowledge of medical billing/collections experience Required.
- Excel Spreadsheet Usage and Creation Required
- Math and Bookkeeping and basic accounting knowledge required.
- Banking or Cash handling experience Required.
