The Reliability Engineer is responsible for driving product and system reliability across the lifecycle of Unison hardware and services. In this role, you will apply reliability engineering tools and methods to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, partnering closely with design, systems, manufacturing, services, and customer teams. You will be accountable for pulling together and analyzing data from all Unison repair sites, consolidating reliability values across all Unison components, electrical and mechanical, and working across functions to identify risks, drive corrective and preventive actions, and enable robust, reliable products for our customers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain Unison reliability requirements and targets for components and systems.
  • Consolidate reliability values across all Unison components, electrical and mechanical, and maintain a unified reliability baseline for analysis and reporting.
  • Consolidate, and maintain reliability and repair data from all Unison repair sites, ensuring consistency and traceability.
  • Analyze field performance, test data, and warranty/repair data to identify reliability trends and failure modes.
  • Develop and track reliability metrics and KPIs; support reliability growth plans.
  • Work across functions (engineering, services, quality, supply chain, commercial, and repair shops) to align on reliability priorities and actions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional reviews of reliability issues, data, and trends to drive decisions and actions.
  • Ensure clear communication and handoff of data-driven insights to functional owners for execution.
  • Provide reliability input to system and component design reviews, trade studies, and design changes.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to resolve high-impact reliability issues.
  • Drive root cause and corrective action (RCCA) rigor and preventive actions based on lessons learned.
  • Champion standard work, digital tools, and continuous improvement around reliability engineering.
  • Share best practices and mentor others in reliability tools and mindset.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in aviation or aerospace working with field, repair, or fleet performance data) + Minimum of 3 years of experience in aviation or aerospace working with field, repair, or fleet performance data.

Desired Characteristics & Experience:

  • 6 years of experience in aviation or aerospace working with field, repair, or fleet performance data.
  • Experience leading cross-functional problem-solving or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of reliability engineering methods (e.g., FMEA/FMECA, reliability predictions, life data analysis, RCCA).
  • Ability to consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources; strong data hygiene mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions (engineering, services, quality, supply chain, repair shops).
  • Experience with Unison components (electrical and/or mechanical) and associated repair processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Weibull analysis, reliability block diagrams, reliability growth modeling, and fleet performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements related to reliability and safety.

The base pay range for this position is $112,000 to $149,000 per year. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 10th, 2026
