The Electrician is responsible to the Chief Engineer for:

· Maintaining the vessel's electrical and electronic equipment

· Adopting safe working practices

· UMS test schedules, alarm test etc

· Assisting during maintenance as required over and above electrical equipment maintenance

· First level maintenance of communications, radio and navigation equipment

· Providing support for safe and efficient running of electrical equipment during cargo operations

The job requires:

· Good team working skills

· Ability to perform all tasks in an orderly way

· Comfortable understanding and following instructions and willing to ask for clarification if necessary
