
Senior Staff Engineer, Workato
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS:
- Total Experience - 7.5+ years
- Experience in Workato, delivering enterprise-grade integration solutions
- Mandatory experience working in Workato production environments, including development, deployment, and support
- Strong engineering-level understanding of the Workato platform (beyond low-code/no-code usage)
- Proven experience designing scalable, complex integration workflows
- Strong experience with ESB / Middleware technologies
- In-depth knowledge of API design and API management principles
- Hands-on experience with Apigee or equivalent API management platforms
- Knowledge of Kafka or Apigee is required
- Strong understanding of, RESTful API, Authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, JWT, etc.), API versioning and lifecycle management
- Working knowledge of Kafka or similar messaging platforms
- Good understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging concepts,
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade integration solutions using Workato
- Build and manage scalable and reliable integration workflows across multiple systems
- Develop, deploy, monitor, and support integrations in Workato production environments
- Design and manage RESTful APIs, ensuring security, scalability, and performance
- Implement and manage APIs using Apigee or similar API management platforms
- Integrate systems using event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka
- Handle message flows, retries, failure scenarios, and ensure message durability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical integration solutions
- Ensure best practices for API lifecycle management, versioning, and governance
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing integrations for performance and reliability
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
