Job Description
Position Summary: Provides sexuality and reproductive health education as well as outreach and coalition building throughout Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties. Coordinates peer education programs.
Essential Functions:
• Identify and develop cooperative working relationships with targeted community agencies and schools in Westchester, Rockland, Suffolk, and/or Putnam Counties.
• Develop, promote, and deliver sex education programs for youth, parents, and community members as per department grants and program goals.
• Coordinate teen peer education program (TIPS), including recruitment, training, and ongoing supervision to youth peer educators.
• Coordinate outreach activities in assigned region including representation at health fairs, school and recreational programs, colleges, and community events.
• Organize and/or participate in county-based coalitions to build community relationships and increase PPHP visibility.
• Maintain Education and Training education and outreach statistics for all outreach and programming.
• Prepare and submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
• Assist Manager, Education and Training in completion of data collection and grant reports.
• Read and stay current on all information concerning sexuality, reproductive health, and adolescent health.

Non-Essential Functions:
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Education and Training.
During work hours, regularly checks personal PPHP email account for important agency-related communications.
Qualifications:
Experience, Education and Licensure
· Bachelor’s degree in health education, psychology, social work or counseling, or a related area preferred.
· Minimum of one year experience in education/community outreach or equivalent work experience.
· Experience in developing and administering youth and peer education programs.
· Understanding of and commitment to providing programs utilizing an equity and reproductive justice lens
· Ability to work independently and cooperatively with diverse groups of teens, staff and volunteers.
· Good record keeping and time management skills.
· Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Own transportation.
· Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Commitment to the goals of Planned Parenthood.

$26.6483 to @27.7472 per hour. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job posting and may be modified in the future.
