Job Description
Support Specialist must have strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Troubleshooting systems and helping end users are vital parts of the job. The constant interaction with other computer personnel, customers, and employees requires effective communication on paper, via email, over the phone, and in person. Applicant must have comprehensive support experience with PC hardware along with MS operating systems and applications. Current technical experience in LAN and WAN environments supporting standard network protocols and services is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and bend, kneel, squat, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Environmental factors include indoor, flat surface, noise, sitting with occasionally walking and standing.
- Partake in the requirements gathering analysis/ design for software update and improvements.
- Perform quality assurance tests for software changes.
- Ensure products work as expected on all devices, including mobile device (Tablets and Phones)
- Offering training to staff when needed
- Organize application support activities for a variety of applications.
- Microsoft Office Suite support, Windows OS support, Desktops, Laptop and printers.
- Provide Tier 2 Technical Support
- Monitor and Track scheduled maintenance activities for variety of applications.
- Check daily backup and maintenance for SQL Servers.
- Work with IT groups (Network, Applications, GIS) providing support for all Network devices, software supports, and GIS devices.
- Ensure that all PCS and Laptops are updated with the most current anti-virus definitions, operating system patches and service packs.
- Knowledge of maintaining an inventory of installed software, managing software licensing, and upgrading software.
- Work with hardware vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
- Maintenance Verizon, Bright House agreement.
- Standby call rotation for IT support.
- All other duties as assigned.
- AA degree in Computer Science or Technology related field or Comp TIA A+/Network + Certification.
- Minimum of three years relevant work experience.
- Most possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
