Role Overview

The Systems Administrator (VDI) is responsible for the design and delivery of high-performance virtual desktop environments. This role ensures a seamless end-user experience for remote EPC engineering teams, managing the intersection of application virtualization, load balancing, and cloud-hosted desktops.

Key Responsibilities

• VDI Design & Implementation: Design and maintain enterprise VDI solutions using a combination of Citrix VDI, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), VMware Horizon, or Windows 365.
• Application Delivery: Manage Citrix XenApp for application virtualization and oversee complex application packaging workflows.
• Traffic Management: Administer Citrix Netscaler (ADC) for application load balancing and secure remote access.
• Cloud Desktop Management: Leverage Citrix Cloud and Azure-native VDI services to provide scalable desktop infrastructure.
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot latency and session issues to ensure high-fidelity performance for resource-intensive applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Primary Tech: Expertise in at least two: Citrix VDI, AVD, VMware Horizon, or W365.
• Networking/ALB: Proficient in Citrix Netscaler and application delivery controllers.
• Cloud Skills: Strong focus on Azure-based VDI deployments.
• Professional Experience:
  • L2: 4-7 years in VDI maintenance and application delivery.
