Job Description

Advantech Tokyo Office is seeking a Product Sales Marketing professional with strong technical knowledge in industrial motherboards, systems, or embedded modules. This role serves as a key bridge between customers, local sales teams, and HQ product development teams. The position is responsible for pre-sales support, project initiation, pricing, and ongoing product lifecycle management, ensuring successful design-in and long-term business growth in the Japanese market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Product Sales Marketing interface between customers, Japan sales teams, and HQ product development teams
  • Support pre-sales activities, including technical discussions, solution proposals, customer presentations, and requirement clarification
  • Lead project initiation (project opening) by confirming customer requirements, target applications, and business potential
  • Work closely with HQ Product Development Managers to review and confirm project specifications, technical feasibility, and development scope
  • Evaluate and decide on support for customer marketing programs, special projects, and pricing requests
  • Prepare and manage quotations, including price structure discussion, cost considerations, and margin alignment
  • Support and drive design-in activities, ensuring smooth technical and commercial engagement from evaluation to mass production, GTM
  • Track and manage product lifecycle status, including roadmap alignment, phase-in / phase-out planning, and long-term supply considerations
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities within the Japanese industrial computing market
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define product positioning, target applications, and go-to-market strategies
  • Support key accounts and strategic customers with both technical and business-oriented insights

Requirements

  • Native Japanese speaker with strong understanding of the Japanese sales and distribution ecosystem
  • Business-level English proficiency (spoken and written)
  • Solid technical background in industrial motherboards, embedded systems, industrial PCs, or computing modules
  • Experience in pre-sales, product marketing, technical sales, or solution consulting roles
  • Ability to evaluate technical specifications, project feasibility, pricing strategy, and lifecycle impact
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, especially in working with overseas HQ and cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a global environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with international HQ or global product development teams
  • Background in industrial automation, embedded computing, or related industries
  • Experience supporting OEM/ODM customers and long-term design-in projects in Japan
