About the Role
This is not a job for a good writer. It's not even a job for a great writer. We're looking for a world-class writer—someone whose instinct for language, rhythm, and persuasion is matched only by their strategic instincts and relentless standards.
As our Content Marketing Manager/Copywriter, you'll be the go-to person for every word that Camunda puts into the world. You'll operate at scale—powered by AI tools and cross-functional collaboration—producing content that cuts through a crowded enterprise technology market and actually gets remembered. Your headlines will stop people mid-scroll. Your copy will be clear, differentiated, and built for both humans and bots: optimized for SEO and AEO while being genuinely enjoyable to read.
This is a high-trust, high-visibility role. You'll own Camunda's content from end to end—gathering context from across the business, producing the work, keeping it organized, and ensuring it performs.
What You'll Be Doing
Content Creation & Strategy: Serve as Camunda's primary writer across all content types—web, thought leadership, emails, product messaging, sales collateral, ads, and more. Bring a sharp strategic lens to every asset, not just a writing one.
Headline and Hook Mastery: Write headlines, subject lines, and opening hooks that are among the best in the industry. Know what makes someone stop, read, and act—and execute it consistently.
AI-Augmented Output: Leverage AI tools fluently to work at scale without sacrificing quality. Use technology to amplify your craft, not replace it.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product marketing, sales, and leadership to gather information, understand audiences, and ensure content is accurate, compelling, and on-brand.
Business-Value Messaging: Translate complex enterprise technology concepts into clear, human, business-value-driven narratives. Our buyers are business leaders, not developers—write accordingly.
SEO and AEO: Ensure all content is structured and written to perform for both human readers and search/AI engine discovery. You understand how the modern content ecosystem works and write to win in it.
Content Operations: Own the content library. Keep assets organized, up to date, and consistently tracked. Define and maintain measurement frameworks so performance is always visible and actionable.
What You Bring
10+ years in a writing or copywriting role, ideally within enterprise B2B technology or SaaS environments.
A portfolio that stops people in their tracks. Your samples should demonstrate range—long-form and short-form, technical and accessible, strategic and creative.
An exceptional instinct for headlines and hooks. You know the difference between a good headline and an unforgettable one, and you write the latter by default.
A working understanding of enterprise technology—enough to earn credibility with internal stakeholders and translate technical complexity into business impact.
Fluency with AI writing and productivity tools, and a genuine enthusiasm for using them to work faster and smarter at scale.
Strong SEO and AEO fundamentals, with hands-on experience optimizing content for both human readability and search/AI engine performance.
Highly organized with an ownership mindset. You don't wait to be asked—you build the system, track the performance, and continuously raise the bar.
A collaborative spirit and genuinely great teammate. You'll be the person everyone comes to with writing requests; how you show up matters as much as what you produce.
Requirements
Based in the United States (highly preferred for this role).
BA in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Experience working in or alongside a marketing team in an enterprise SaaS or technology company.
Ability and/or willingness to explore and use Camunda's product.

Compensation
We offer competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are location-based, with Standard and Major markets (global tech hubs) reflecting local competition.
The Annual Total Target Cash (base salary + 100% variable target, where applicable) shown below spans from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and location, and we typically hire in the first half of the range to allow room for growth:
United States: $100,500.00 to $162,000.00
United Kingdom: £63,100.00 to £103,800.00
Singapore: S$124,800.00 to S$187,100.00
If you’re based elsewhere, you’ll be hired via Remote.com (our global employer partner), and your Talent Acquisition Partner will provide a personalized Total Rewards Calculator after your first interview.
