As a Service Center Operations Supervisor at Central Steel & Wire , you will be responsible for directing the efficient function of plant operations including but not limited to production equipment, shipping, receiving and inventory.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Understands production goals and implements actions necessary to meet objectives
- Provides leadership to direct reports; coaches and counsels employees
- Facilities problem solving and team building activities
- Participates in Performance Management Process (PMP)
- Carries out and supports company policies, goals and objectives
- Understands quality goals and implement actions necessary to meet goals and ISO 9000 standards
- Review plant supply inventory and advise purchasing when levels are low
- Ensure training is effectively carried out and oversee completion of training checklists
- Communicates with other departments within the facility, as well as other locations
- Understand customer requirements, participates, and advise on decisions regarding suitability of material and processing equipment
- Provide direction and coaching in safe work practices; support safety goals
- Review unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are carried out to eliminate workplace hazard

Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED is required; College Education preferred
- A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- The successful candidate is expected to develop proficiency in SAP as part of their role. Prior experience is not required, but a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and become proficient in SAP is essential
Salary: $64,855.53 - $90,000 annually. A starting salary higher than $72,000 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
