Job Description
We are seeking a talented Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our team and make a meaningful impact on communities by designing and developing critical water and wastewater infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact projects while growing your technical expertise under the mentorship of experienced professionals.
You will support the planning, evaluation, and design of civil conveyance and/or process mechanical systems for water and wastewater infrastructure. The position focuses on pipelines and conveyance systems, process mechanical components, and treatment facility infrastructure that help communities reliably deliver safe drinking water, manage wastewater and stormwater, and meet evolving regulatory requirements.
Projects range from water and wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations to distribution systems, sewer networks, stormwater systems, remediation sites, and lead service line programs. This role offers the opportunity to grow technically while taking on increased responsibility through hands‑on design, client interaction, and task‑level project leadership.
How You Will Contribute
- Support the design and delivery of civil, pipeline, and process mechanical projects for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, contributing to both analysis and design phases.
- Perform engineering calculations, data analysis, and technical documentation for projects involving treatment systems, distribution and collection networks, drainage, and infrastructure improvements.
- Assist with hydraulic modeling, water quality evaluations, and system analyses to help develop practical, reliable solutions.
- Participate in site visits and field investigations to better understand existing conditions, validate design assumptions, and support constructability reviews.
- Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documentation for publicly bid projects.
- Review drawings, calculations, and reports to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with regulatory requirements and project standards.
- Contribute to environmental and regulatory efforts such as lead and copper rule programs, stormwater compliance, and permitting support.
- Follow and support firm standards for quality, safety, and engineering best practices across all work.
- Collaborate with project teams by supporting specific tasks or work packages, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and building client-facing experience.
- Continue to grow technically and professionally, seeking opportunities to expand skills while contributing to team success.
- Support knowledge sharing by collaborating with peers and contributing to internal initiatives or technical discussions.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support project and team goals.
