
Finance Controller (Reporting & Controls)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Finance Controller (Reporting & Controls) to support finance operations for three legal entities across multiple manufacturing sites and facilities in Poland. This role provides key financial leadership and ensures compliance with US Corporate standards as well as local statutory requirements. The Finance Controller will closely partner with local business leaders, EMEA finance functions.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Provide key support to Finance Controller II for three legal entities.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes in line with US Corporate and Polish statutory guidelines.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial results, including preparation and data submission to US Corporate.
- Conduct financial statement reviews and reporting for assigned legal entities.
- Manage all Corporate & Statutory Tax obligations and annual reporting in cooperation with external auditors and advisors.
- Oversee VAT reporting in collaboration with the Financial Shared Service team.
- Ensure compliance with local fiscal obligations, SOX requirements, and internal controls.
Operational Finance
- Monitor KPIs and service levels related to vendor payments and receivables to support optimal cash flow and credit standing.
- Provide local statutory expertise for business restructuring and transfer pricing considerations.
Business Partnering & Projects
- Proactively inform the Finance Controller II and management on financial results, business trends, and risks.
- Partner with global finance teams (Supply Chain, Commercial Finance, FP&A) as well as global accounting and tax.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience in an international and manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Polish Accounting Standards, statutory reporting, and taxes.
- Experience working with Oracle ERP (5+ years is an advantage).
- Strong command of Polish and English (written and spoken); ability to lead meetings in English.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial topics clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong drive, ownership, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a global business environment.
- Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS
