We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our R&D team in Nijmegen.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's equipment, systems, and infrastructure. The Facility Maintenance Technician is the handy-man of our facility. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to prevent downtime and ensure a safe working environment.

Key Ingredients:

  • Responsible for routine maintenance tasks; cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts, to ensure equipment, systems and facilities are functioning properly

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, technical

  • Repair, install or replaced damaged fixtures and equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems for the building

  • Inspecting equipment and systems, to identify potential issues

  • Collaborate with R&D staff to understand equipment and system requirements and provide technical support as needed

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, such as work orders on maintenance list

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve maintenance processes and procedures

  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as needed to perform maintenance and repairs

  • Issuing work permits

  • Prepare set up for meeting rooms if necessary

  • 3+ years experience in similar role

  • Technical training or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred

  • Experience as a handyman or similar maintenance role

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of safety standards 

  • High sense of safety awareness and commitment to safe working practices.
