We have a fantastic opportunity for a Water Engineer to join our growing Water Team based in Tauranga. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a variety of water infrastructure projects.
The role:
- Investigating, designing, and implementing a range of projects involving stormwater, water supply, wastewater, and multidisciplinary infrastructure.
- Developing strong business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure project outcomes are achieved and client satisfaction remains high.
- Preparing high-quality reports, correspondence, and other deliverables as required.
- Undertaking both office-based and site-based work, collaborating with virtual teams across GHD offices nationally and internationally.
- Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to graduate design engineers on various projects.
About You
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering preferably with 5 to 7 years of related experience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of industry design standards and guidelines.
- Experience working across both the public and private sectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with design software such as 12D, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
- A demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and mentor others.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and energetic approach to work.
- Flexibility and adaptability when faced with new challenges.
