Senior Director, Workday & UKG Applications, IS Administration, Hybrid, Baptist Medical Center
The Senior Director, Workday & UKG Applications provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the organization's Workday, UKG, and related enterprise business systems. This role defines and executes enterprise application strategies that support Human Resources, Payroll, Workforce Management, Finance, Supply Chain, and other operational functions. The Senior Director partners closely with executive leadership, operational stakeholders, Human Resources, Finance, and Information Services teams to ensure technology solutions align with organizational goals, optimize business processes, and deliver measurable value across the enterprise.
This leader oversees the planning, implementation, optimization, support, and governance of Workday, UKG, and related enterprise applications while ensuring services are delivered with the highest standards of quality, efficiency, security, compliance, and cost effectiveness. The role is responsible for establishing strategic roadmaps, driving digital transformation initiatives, developing policies and best practices, and promoting innovative solutions that enhance workforce effectiveness, operational performance, employee experience, and organizational outcomes.
This role ensures team members and leaders maintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements, as well as organizational policies, procedures, and standards. The Senior Director leverages enterprise systems, workforce analytics, operational metrics, and business intelligence to drive continuous improvement, support strategic decision-making, and advance organizational objectives.
The Senior Director, Workday & UKG Applications will be responsible for:
- Define and execute the enterprise strategy, roadmap, governance, and optimization efforts for Workday, UKG, and related business systems.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve workforce management, HR operations, payroll, finance, supply chain, employee experience, and operational effectiveness through technology.
- Develop, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators, operational metrics, and strategic goals to drive accountability, continuous improvement, and organizational success.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for managers, analysts, and technical teams while building a high-performing and engaged workforce.
- Utilize enterprise applications, workforce data, analytics, and business intelligence tools to support strategic planning, resource management, and executive decision-making.
- Manage departmental budgets, vendor relationships, resource allocation, compliance requirements, and enterprise technology investments while partnering with executive leadership on long-term organizational priorities.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of related experience
- Extensive leadership experience supporting Workday, UKG, HRIS, ERP, workforce management, or enterprise business systems.
- Proven experience developing enterprise application strategies, technology roadmaps, governance models, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Human Resources, Payroll, Workforce Management, Finance, Supply Chain, and related business operations.
- Experience leading large teams, managing complex projects, and driving cross-functional organizational change initiatives.
- Strong business acumen, financial management, vendor management, and operational leadership skills.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, strategic planning, and executive leadership abilities.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Workday, UKG, PMP, SHRM, or related certifications preferred.
