We are looking for a team lead to manage key initiatives in learning and development, career development, and employee engagement at Singapore Polytechnic.
This role plays a key part in strengthening organisational capability and workforce sustainability by designing and implementing development strategies, enhancing career mobility, and delivering impactful engagement initiatives aligned with SP’s strategic priorities.
[What you will be working on]
Responsibilities:
1. Learning & Development
- Design, implement, and evaluate organisation-wide learning strategies and programmes aligned to business and capability needs
- Lead key L&D initiatives (e.g., competency frameworks, leadership development, training plans, industry attachment, overseas programmes)
- Review training effectiveness using structured evaluation approaches and recommend improvements
2. Career Development
- Develop and strengthen career development frameworks (e.g., career pathways, job rotations, development programmes)
- Drive initiatives that promote career development across staff groups
- Review and develop programmes and processes for career conversations between supervisors and staff
3. People Engagement
- Plan and deliver staff engagement programmes and events (e.g. organisation-wide programmes and wellness initiatives)
- Manage ongoing initiatives such as corporate passes and recognition programmes (e.g. birthday initiatives)
- Work with internal stakeholder groups (e.g. Staff Welfare Committee, Staff Interest Group convenors) to drive participation and engagement
4. Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide team members in project execution and operational delivery
- Develop team capability in core competencies and HR functional competencies
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture
[What we are looking for]
Requirements:
- At least 8 years' experience in HR, with relevant experience in learning and development, career development, or employee engagement
- Experience in supervising and managing staff, including planning work, monitoring performance, and developing team members
- Familiarity with Public Sector Human Resource policies, practices and guidelines will be an advantage
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities, complemented by strong attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player who is proactive, resourceful and confident
- IHRP certification preferred
