Summary Description

 

 

Approves or denies consumer loans including: customer cash advances, automobile, boat/marine, visa checkcard, cash secured, home improvement, home equity line, improved land, mobile home, motorcycle, overdraft protection, recreational vehicle, home improvement refinances, small business, stock secured, and unsecured personal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Essential Functions

 

 

  • Review and evaluate information on consumer loan documents to determine if borrower, collateral and loan conditions meet established standards

 

  • Determine terms and acceptability of risk

 

  • Approve or reject loan applications, or request additional information

 

  • Record loan rejections

 

  • Assemble documents in loan files

 

  • Maintain data base on new and existing business

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Position Requirements

 

  • College degree preferred

 

  • 2-4 years of underwriting experience

 

  • Demonstrated computer experience with inventory management software

 

  • Experience with Underwriting software preferred

 

  • Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions

 

  • Typically, the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work
