AR Specialist @ Elwood Staffing

Description*Receiving and verifying payment information including EOBs and ERAs *Preparing and submitting clean claims to various insurance companies and executing claim follow-up with insurance carriers until paid or resolved. *Secure necessary medical documentation requested by insurance carriers, patients, and/or legal representation *Identify and resolve patient billing complaints *Preparing, reviewing, and sending patient statements *Evaluating patient’s financial status and establishing budget payment plans *Performing various collection actions including contacting patients by phone; correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payers *Posting payments from insurance companies *Temp-to-Hire position*Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm
*2 years of medical billing/AR experience in the urgent care/primary care setting *Certification in billing and coding is a plus *Proficient in medical billing/collection practice *Ability to work independently as well as part of a departmental team *The ability to resolve conflicts and possesses problem-solving skills *Applicant may be subject to a background check *Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
