Job Summary
SummaryPerforms both administrative and clinical functions to support smooth and efficient clinical service or practice operations under close to general supervision. Performs basic clerical work and tasks that are repetitive and routine. Administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, check-out duties. Actual job duties may vary by Department.
Essential Functions
Perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service or physician practice office.
-Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
-Greet and assist patients.
-Answer telephones, assist callers with routine inquiries, and schedule appointments.
-File materials in patient folders, and print appointment schedules.
-Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record/LMR.
-Call for patient medical records and laboratory test results.
-Open and distribute mail or faxes.
-Type forms, records, schedules, memos, etc., as directed.
-May be required to accept co-payments.
-Handles, screens and/or takes messages related to prior authorizations, referrals, and verify registrations for accuracy.
-May monitor patients in waiting room and responds to any needs for information.
-Assists in patient flow processes.

We're excited to be opening a brand-new office in Weymouth and are looking for dedicated team members to help us launch this location successfully. Prior to the office opening, candidates must be willing to complete training at other nearby sites.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
- Previous healthcare office experience is preferred

We're looking for someone who is organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will have:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard office applications
- Knowledge of general office operations, including filing, scanning, copying, printing, and faxing
- Strong phone etiquette and the ability to confidently manage a variety of calls while resolving routine inquiries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, colleagues, and providers
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing documents, composing correspondence, and taking messages
- Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- A well-organized approach to work, with the ability to follow established processes and maintain accuracy in a busy office setting
