In this role, you will be the primary owner of Manufacturing Bill of Materials creation and governance, translating engineering designs into precise, production-verified, and change-controlled MBOM structures. You will serve as the critical link between Engineering, Supply Chain, and Contract Manufacturing partners, ensuring every global manufacturing site is supported by accurate and audit-ready product configuration data. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who takes pride in building MBOM structures from the ground up and ensuring every configuration is fully validated and ready to drive flawless manufacturing execution.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyzing and associated master data.
- Responsible for MBOM structures in PLM system
- Responsible for communicating MBOM with contract manufactures
- Experience in managing the bill of Materials in the PLM preferably Windchill.
- Responsible for maintaining the records of changes and reporting to the organization.
- Experiencing in creating, changing the BOM in SAP
- Become proficient in setting up new options and/or creating rules to support various build configurations.
- Support engineering and prototype staff during the design and prototype phase of new product development
- Experience in creating and managing BOM structures enabling downstream processes
- Ability to read, understand and communicate Engineering drawings and production documentation
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure content of BOM / Timing is always up to date.
- Prepare executive summaries and escalate issues.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical any suitable)
- Work experience 6 to 10 years.
- Had involved in developing and creating the Bill of Materials from the Scratch.
- Experience in working with BOM structure in SAP
- Exposure to the Battery storage solution is preferable.
- Experience in working in various different team Zones and Global stake holder
- 3+ years relevant experience with PLM tools and processes and Bill of Materials, proven experience managing complex stakeholder requirements and relationships.
- Technical knowledge of product structure and processes, understanding of BOM, PLM, Windshield, Open Bom tools.
- Essential knowledge about the Instrumentation, Electrical components.
Skillsets: Attention to details, strong stakeholder relationship management skills, excellent communication skills, Problem solving skills. Strong work ethic and a commitment to engineering excellence and data-driven decision making. Works well on projects on their own as well as with a team, able to clearly communicate ideas.
