Maintenance Worker The Maintenance Worker performs routine maintenance tasks in response to requests following equipment or facility failures or in support of modifications or upgrades. Who Are We? Reads and interprets technical manuals, drawings, and repair directives in order to repair failed or failing systems. Reacts to emergencies with a sense of urgency. Participates in preventative maintenance program. Participates as part of a team, including the sharing of information and knowledge. Maintains grounds as directed by Manager of Facilities, EH S and/or Team Leader. Follows schedules and plans as required. Retains records of work performed. Orders parts on occasion. Engages with internal and external technical support in a professional manner. Participates in weekend coverage of the plant on a rotating basis with other maintenance workers. Follows all safety regulations and precautions. Maintains the maintenance area, tools, and supplies in accordance with 6S practices. Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area. Willing and able to work overtime as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned or required by the position.
