
Young Adults Business Services Representative

SUMMARY: The Young Adults Business Services Representative (BSR) is responsible for providing outreach and assistance to businesses in targeted industries providing a full range of value-added services to meet businesses’ workforce development needs. The Young Adults BSR will recruit business customers, conduct analysis, and develop a comprehensive service strategy, including linkages to appropriate partners and community resources. This role focuses on connecting Young Adult (ages 16-24) customers with employment opportunities, work-based learning experiences, internships, apprenticeships, and career pathways that lead to long-term economic self-sufficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain employer partnerships that create employment opportunities specifically for Young Adult participants.
- Manage new business opportunities through all stages of the on-boarding cycle. Cold calling will be required.
- Provide outreach to professional organizations, trade organizations, and post- secondary educational institutions.
- Promote work-based learning opportunities, including internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing, and paid work experience programs.
- Conduct outreach and provides businesses with information and assistance regarding incentive programs such as OJT incentives, tax credits, and other available resources.
- Provide recommendations for new employer services or projects, and assist in the planning and implementation of special projects and/or employer services such as employer seminars, pre-employment testing services, employee credentialing, etc.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline; meet and exceed monthly KPI’s (key performance indicators) as well as monthly quota.
- Assess the human resource needs of area businesses by conducting business surveys, customer satisfaction surveys, and/or job profiling/job analysis.
- Collaborate with Career Coaches and Youth Program staff to identify employment opportunities aligned with participants' career goals and interests.
- Educate employers on the benefits of hiring young talent and available workforce development incentives.
- Assist Young Adult participants in securing unsubsidized employment, internships, and career pathway opportunities.
- Assist participants with job readiness, interview preparation, and workplace expectations.
- Support employers in implementing workplace readiness and mentorship opportunities for Young Adult employees.
- Coordinate hiring events, career fairs, employer panels, and industry tours designed for Young Adult participants.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be a self-starter and committed to completing tasks timely, which may include working additional hours and/or over the weekend as needed.
- Local travel60%, other travel 10% of the time.
- Bilingual; fluency in Spanish preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university. The degree requirement may be substituted for four (4) years of professional work experience.
- At least three (3)years of recruitment, account management or sales related experience.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software highly preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e-mail, video conferencing (Zoom, Teams) and other Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Ability to learn workforce related case management software.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid driver’s license, a registered and insured vehicle that can be used during work.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
