Job Description
Job Purpose
Support tooling operations for casing, tubing, and slitter processes by performing teardown, rebuild, cleaning, staging, and basic inspection of tooling components while developing core mechanical skills in a safe and controlled environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assistwith teardown and rebuild of mill stands, roll sets, ID bars, and slitter heads
- Clean, inspect, and stage tooling components for upcoming production runs
- Assistwith knife handling, roll handling, andcomponenttransport using cranes and carts
- Tag, store, and organize tooling after removal from production
- Perform basic measurements (OD, ID, knife thickness, spacers) under guidance
- Follow work instructions, setup sheets, and supervisor or senior technician direction
- Maintain housekeeping and tool organization in tooling areas
- Report damaged tooling and abnormal conditions to senior technicians or lead
- Participate in structured on-the-job training
- Learn basic mill stand and slitter head build procedures
- Progress toward independentcomponentassembly capability
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Competencies
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Job Knowledge:
- 6 months – 1 year ofexperience within the OCTGmanufacturingindustry preferred
- Safe use of hand tools, presses, and cranes (with training)
- Basic blueprint and setup sheet reading
- Ability toidentifydamaged vs acceptable tooling with guidance
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skillsrequired.
- Perform basic Microsoft Office skills,and ability to work within companydesignatedmaintenance system
- Personal Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within Office 365 & Companydesignatedmaintenance system
- Must be available and able to work rotating shifts between nights and days, including weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Safety:
- Follows allplant andtoolingsafety standards,procedures, & PPE requirements
- Immediately report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Follow tooling handling and storage standards to prevent damage
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
- Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are notpermittedon site.
- The ability to lift 25/50pounds regularly.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
- The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
- The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
- Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
- Ability toidentifyand distinguish colors.

- Work closely withProductionand Maintenance department onscheduling,projects,and plannedoutages.
- Hasthe authority to stop production at any time that isdeemednecessary for reasons of safety, quality, orpriority.
