Position Purpose:
As a Store Manager at Lindt USA, you will be joining more than a company -- you will be joining a team that truly believes in you and your abilities to create a positive and engaging in-store experience for our customers. Our retail teams play an integral part in delivering legendary service and premium experience to our customers. The individual in this position is responsible for achieving and/or exceeding the store’s sales plan, while ensuring profitable store operations and performing all functions necessary to provide superior customer service.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Sales
Ensure store meets or exceeds weekly, monthly, annual sales budgets and consistently contributes to the company’s overall achievement.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the stores sales mission and the ability to communicate it effectively in actionable terms to the store staff.
Utilize suggestive selling techniques to upsell and cross-sell products. Maintain a deep understanding of our product offerings to effectively communicate product features and benefits
Identify and capture external sales opportunities to include, but not limited to, business-to-business contacts, external networking events and marketing opportunities.
Ensure store meets all company standards and expectations for visual direction and brand presentation.
Customer Service
Develop a comprehensive understanding of our chocolate products, including ingredients, flavor profiles, and production processes
Assist customers in selecting the perfect chocolate products based on their preferences and needs
Monitor and escalate customer or product issues to management in a timely and professional manner
Staff Development
Partner with District Manager with hiring, managing and developing store personnel according to Lindt & Sprüngli guidelines and standards in order to ensure a knowledgeable, friendly, well-trained staff.
Motivate staff, build brand commitment and hold staff accountable to meeting critical internal KPI’s and external sales opportunities.
Build a talent pool to prepare for staffing gaps due to promotions, peak selling seasons and/or turnover.
Operational Controls
Full P&L responsibility for the business.
Cash Management (POS, Paperwork, Vendor Logs, Policies & Procedures)
Monitors and escalates stock levels to Store Management in a timely manner to avoid out of stocks/overstocks/dated product
Responsible for audit compliance (DM Store Visits, Loss Prevention and Food Safety), payroll/labor management, store scheduling, and expense control
Take initiative to re-stock shelves as needed, monitoring date codes and pricing
Perform store maintenance & cleaning.
Comply with all Quality Assurance policies & procedures
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
Prior retail experience, preferably in a specialty retail environment
Minimum 2 years of management experience
Prior experience with POS system
Skills & Knowledge:
Proven sales and/or customer service background
Demonstrated success in a management role
Basic math computation skills
Strong communication skills with customers and team members
Prioritization and time management
Ability to take direction and effectively delegate and execute through others
Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
Other Requirements:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach with arms
Must be available to work nights, weekends (Saturday and Sundays) and Holidays
Total Rewards:
Compensation: $22 - $30
Competitive bonus program – monthly bonus payout based on store performance and annual bonus payout based on company financial performanc
Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
