
Casino Support and Scheduling Specialist
Job Description
Responsible for maintaining and adjusting staffing schedules for Casino Operations to ensure appropriate coverage and operational efficiency. This role also manages attendance tracking, transfers, and related employee files, serving as a key liaison between Casino leadership, Human Resources, and Payroll.
- Master Schedule Maintenance: Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and long-range schedules based on business volume, table counts, and operational needs. Consistently work with Management on everchanging scheduling needs.
- Dynamic Staffing: Manage real-time adjustments for call-offs, vacations, and special events to control labor costs and maintain guest service.
- Payroll & Toke Accuracy: Align schedules with UKG/timekeeping systems and prepare wage and toke reports for payroll processing.
- Compliance Tracking: Monitor and document attendance, tardiness, meal breaks, and leaves of absence in accordance with regulatory standards.
- New Hire & Personnel Filing: Create and maintain all employee records, including onboarding paperwork, Read & Signs, and signature cards.
- Skills & Certifications: Update employee records regarding game knowledge increases, classifications, and assigned crew movements.
- Internal Moves: Coordinate and document shift bids, internal transfers, and departmental changes.
- Training Coordination: Work with instructors to schedule dealer school classes and facilitate Dealer School meetings.
- Team Communication: Act as the primary contact for scheduling inquiries and post all rosters, sign-up sheets, and PTO calendars.
- Audit Support: Provide accurate documentation for regulatory reviews while maintaining strict confidentiality of employee data.
- Administrative Maintenance: Manage the department Wishlist and PTO approvals while performing all other related duties as assigned.
Professional Conduct: Present oneself as a credit to the company and encourage professional standards in others. Must be able to work flexible scheduling including weekends, holidays or special events or to assist with coverage.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1 year administrative or operations scheduling required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational ability.
Ability to perform effectively under significant pressure typically associated with meeting the demands and timetables of the entertainment industry.
Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point and Microsoft Outlook.
Experience with Scheduling programs like Virtual Roster, Oracle, UKG and Sedgwick preferred.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
Must be able to maintain a neat, well-groomed, professional appearance and uphold the company appearance standards.
Effectively work with Casino Leadership to build strong working relationships and create optimized schedules that support revenue goals.
Adheres to departmental and company policies and maintains compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements.
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 20 lbs., and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and stack. Must be able to run on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs.
