About the Role:

The Director of Therapy Services is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and delivery of therapy programs across multiple service lines to include Inpatient Rehab. This role ensures that therapy services meet the highest standards of clinical quality, compliance, and patient satisfaction while aligning with organizational goals. The Director will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of therapy professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement and innovation. They will also manage budgets, resources, and operational workflows to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of therapy services. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in enhancing patient outcomes and advancing the organization’s reputation as a leader in therapeutic care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
• Current and valid professional licensure in the relevant therapy discipline(s) as required by the state.
• Minimum of 7 years of clinical therapy experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and therapy best practices.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex operational functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree (e.g., DPT, OTD, or PhD) in a therapy-related discipline.
• Experience working in a large healthcare system or multi-site organization.
• Certification in healthcare management or leadership (e.g., FACHE, CMPE).
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data analytics tools.
• Strong background in quality improvement methodologies and patient safety initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for therapy services that align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, supervise, and evaluate therapy department staff, including therapists, coordinators, and support personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards related to therapy services.
• Collaborate with other clinical and administrative leaders to integrate therapy services within the broader continuum of care.
• Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and operational processes to maximize service quality and efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement evidence-based practices.
• Oversee patient care delivery to ensure high standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
• Facilitate professional development and training programs to maintain staff competency and promote career growth.
• Serve as a key liaison with external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies to support therapy service initiatives.
