Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is responsible for day-to-day HR Operations and providing support across various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and employee development. This role requires a well-rounded HR professional with a strong understanding of HR practices and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to foster a positive work environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
- Serve as first point of contact for employees such as addressing concerns, payroll and benefits inquiries, leaves of absence, immigration and mobility, and providing guidance on HR-related issues.
- Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee relations matters, mediating conflicts, and implementing solutions.
- Assist in conducting investigations and resolving employee complaints in accordance with company policies.
- Responsible for HR operations of employee lifecycle experience from onboarding to offboarding.
- Promote, manage and maintain employee relations programs and drive employee engagement.
- Partner with benefits consultants to resolve any claims and coverage issues.
Performance Management
- Support the performance management process by assisting with performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development plans.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related issues and documentation.
- Assist in developing and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary.
Employee Development and Training
- Coordinate and deliver employee training programs, workshops, and development initiatives.
- Identify training needs and work with managers to develop and implement employee development plans.
- Maintain training records and track employee progress.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Assist with report generation, maintenance and distribution.
- In partnership with HR team, draft, maintain, and keep up to date all HR policies to ensure compliance.
- Communicate and inform key stakeholders of all legislative changes and support with implementation of any changes are required.
Other Duties
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and enhancing employee engagement.
- Support the HR functional teams in the planning, implementation, execution and roll-out of HR programs and processes.
- Assist with local event planning and recognition programs.
- Provide support to the HR team and other departments as needed.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to communicate verbally and written in English is a nice to have.
Position Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Experience:
- 3-5 Years of experience in an HR Generalist role or similar HR position.
