Job Summary:
The Senior Production Planner is responsible for the day-to-day execution of production schedules, ensuring the timely and accurate flow of orders through back-end (BE) assembly and subcontractor (subcon) operations to meet customer commitments. This role involves coordinating with various departments, analyzing production data, and implementing strategies to optimize production processes. The Production Planner will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory levels, meeting customer demands, and improving overall operational efficiency.

The Production Planner will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory levels, meeting customer demands, and improving overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Corporate Revenue Goal
- Plan and execute supply strategies to meet revenue targets.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedule.
Production Scheduling
- Develop and maintain production schedules for assigned product lines, aligned to demand plans and customer commit dates.
- Translate master plans into executable BE/subcon build schedules, balancing priorities across sites and product families.
- Monitor WIP and adjust schedules in response to demand, supply, or capacity changes.
- Track and report key metrics: OTD, cycle time, and schedule adherence.
BE and Subcon Coordination
- Act as the primary planning contact for BE/subcon partners — placing, confirming, and tracking orders through to shipment.
- Coordinate order releases, lot starts, and finish dates; resolve committed-vs-actual discrepancies.
- Monitor partner performance and escalate recurring delays or capacity gaps to the Supply Planning Manager.
- Support NPI, alternate source qualification, and dual-sourcing transitions from a scheduling perspective.
Capacity and Material Alignment
- Review BE/subcon capacity against the production plan; flag bottlenecks and under-utilization.
- Coordinate with materials/buyers on component availability; surface shortages or excess risk early.
- Participate in supply-demand and capacity review meetings, providing scheduling input.
- Support inventory management by aligning lot sizing and build timing with planning guidelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Demand Planning, Engineering, Quality, Inside Sales, and Marketing to align schedules with business priorities.
- Partner with MDM/APO teams to maintain system data accuracy and support process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- College graduate: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years working experience in the Semiconductor Industry
Desired Qualifications
- 3 to 6 years working experience in the Semiconductor (planning background)
- Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with planning dashboards or reporting tools is a plus.
- SAP knowledge is an advantage
