Benevity is committed to unleashing the potential of our people, and we are hiring a Specialist to support our internal communications and culture efforts on the People Experience team. In this role, you will keep Benevity-ites informed, engaged and inspired through communications, events and special initiatives. Please note this is a 12 month term maternity backfill.
What you’ll do:
Support recurring and project-based company-wide internal communication and culture initiatives
Lead virtual and in-person company-wide event experiences from conception through to completion – planning and preparations, messaging, coordination of logistics elements as well as post-event follow-up
Produce internal company-wide communication events, such as weekly all-company stand-ups, webinars, and special announcements
Lead event management for Benevity’s annual companywide Homecoming events to connect Benevity-ites from around the globe for a week each year
Develop systems and collaborate with people from across Benevity to support employee events, impact & inclusion initiatives that build our culture and create a sense of Belonging
Coordinate company-wide scheduling of culture and communications-related activities
Help draft, edit and improve Benevity-wide written communications, presentations and processes
Rock ad-hoc tasks and project management for the People Experience team’s ever-evolving initiatives
What you’ll bring:
2-4 years of previous experience in related communications, events or culture roles
Event planning experience, from ideation to completion
Exceptional writing skills, with experience and comfort writing for internal audiences and supporting executive leaders to deliver internal messages
Outstanding organizational, project management and creative problem-solving skills
Self-starting approach with the ability to take initiative, prioritize key work and proactively manage project needs
Ability to thrive in an evolving role requiring adaptability and competing demands
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline and results-driven environment
Strong interpersonal and excellent relationship-building skills
Proficiency with Mac & Google Suite is an asset
