What you'll do
Under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor, Cardiology Clinic and the General Cardiology Medical Director, performs prompt, courteous, non-invasive quality technical diagnostic and support services for patients and providers throughout the Cardiology Service Line to ensure a position patient experience and accurate documentation.
- Performs prompt, courteous, non-invasive quality technical diagnostic and support services for patients and providers throughout the Cardiology Laboratory experience.
- Performs routine/urgent electrocardiograms, stress tests, holter scanning, and event recording hook-up and related diagnostics in accordance within established protocols as measured by physician feedback and managerial observation.
- Routinely provides related services as requested as measured by co-worker feedback and
managerial observation. Handles health information in accordance with HIPPA regulations. - Provides confidentiality for all patients as measured by co-worker and patient feedback and managerial observation.
- Submits all charges accurately and timely according to policy as measured by managerial review.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position as measured by co-worker feedback and managerial observation.
- Appropriately notifies provider staff of urgent needs and requests.
- Collaborates with team members to provide excellent patient service.
- Works closely with the clinical secretary to assure timely patient access to non-invasive services and responses to physician referrals as measured by patient and co-worker feedback and managerial observation.
- Compiles, communicates, and distributes reports of patients testing information to the appropriate physician as measured by physician feedback and managerial observation.
- **Delivers care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to patient diversity, 100% of the time, as measured by no significant, substantiated patient or peer complaints received by the supervisor.
- Presents a positive image of Bassett Healthcare and the BHCI through professional appearance and behavior as measured by patient and co-worker feedback and managerial observation.
- Works collaboratively with Cardiology and all hospital departments as measure by co-worker feedback and managerial observation.
- Maintains cardiac non-invasive equipment in good condition, reporting malfunctions appropriately as measured by managerial observation.
- Uses and orders supplies and materials prudently to maximize cost effectiveness of procedures.
- Facilities resolution of system issues to provide excellence in patient care and collaborative practice
- Completes job specific continuing education within the appraisal period
- Maintains competence by attending relevant seminars and training opportunities and providing supervisor with appropriate records
- Maintains required certifications and validations within established timeline
- Performs similar or related duties as requested or directed
- Performs other duties as requested and observed by supervisor or manager.
What we need from you
Education:
- Cardiovascular Technician or equivalent on the job training, required
- 2 Year / Associate Degree in Non-invasive Cardiovascular Technician or other medical related program, preferred
Experience:
- Relevant health care experience, required
- Prior experience as a non-invasive Cardiovascular Technician, Allied Health Role, or EMT, preferred

Physical Requirements:

- Frequent typing/clerical/dexterity, grasping, hearing, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, seeing/monitor/cumputer use, standing, stooping, talking, and walking
- Constant fit testing

Pay Range
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $19.89/Hr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $29.84/Hr.
