Job Description

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Madrigal’s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Director, Facilities to support and advance our workplace strategy across a growing footprint. Reporting to the Executive Director of Real Estate & Facilities, this role will manage office managers and ensure that our workplaces foster efficiency, collaboration, and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate brings strong workplace operations and facilities leadership experience, combined with the ability to implement tools, systems, and programs that elevate the employee experience. This leader will also assist with contributing insights and support for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage and mentor office managers across US and International locations, driving consistency and excellence in workplace services.
  • Cultivate a hospitality-driven, people-first workplace culture.
  • Provide strong management oversight with an emphasis on developing team capability, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Partner closely with HR, IT, Finance, and other stakeholders to align workplace initiatives with company needs.

Workplace Operations & Experience

  • Oversee workplace hospitality, office operations, and employee experience programs across all U.S. and international locations.
  • Establish and maintain workplace standards, policies, operating procedures, and performance metrics to ensure consistent, high-quality employee experience across all locations.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance workplace engagement, operational effectiveness, and organizational productivity.
  • Advance workplace technologies and systems, including visitor management, space planning, and service request platforms, to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
  • Oversee workplace planning and utilization systems to optimize space usage, support growth, and provide data-driven insights.
  • Support the development and execution of workplace, facilities, and real estate strategies that align with organizational growth and business objectives.

Real Estate & Facilities Support

  • Maintain lease documentation, critical dates, reporting, and portfolio records while supporting the Executive Director's portfolio management strategy.
  • Lead day-to-day oversight and coordination of construction, relocation, and workplace projects, ensuring execution aligns with strategic direction established by the Executive Director.
  • Support safe and efficient facilities operations in partnership with workplace, safety, and business stakeholders.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Partner in developing and monitoring workplace and facilities budgets.
  • Manage vendor relationships for office services, workplace technologies, and facilities operations.
  • Track KPIs for operational efficiency, cost control, and employee satisfaction.


Environmental Health, Safety & Ergonomics

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS program for corporate office operations (no lab/manufacturing scope).
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local building codes, and other applicable regulations.
  • Lead ergonomics assessments and programs to enhance employee health, safety, and comfort.
  • Partner with HR and Facilities to drive workplace safety training and emergency preparedness initiatives.
  • Establish metrics, audits, and continuous improvement programs for safety performance.
  • Oversee sustainability and environmental initiatives aligned with corporate responsibility goals, both domestically and internationally
  • Support business continuity, crisis response, and workplace resiliency planning across office locations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and management experience overseeing workplace and/or facilities teams in a global context.
  • Strong background in occupancy planning, workplace utilization analysis, and implementation of space strategies.
  • Demonstrated organizational excellence and attention to detail in managing systems, processes, and deliverables.
  • Previous project management experience with successful execution of relocations, build outs or multi-site initiatives.
  • Experience supporting real estate portfolio activities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work onsite, 5 days a week, in Conshohocken, PA.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Facilities Management, Business, or related field and 10+ years experience  or;
     
  • HS diploma with 15+ years of progressive workplace, facilities, real estate, or related leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success implementing workplace systems and technologies that improve efficiency and employee experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15–20% as business needs require.

Base salary is determined by several factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs and market demands.  As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position, applicable to all candidates, is $201,000 - $246,000 per year.  We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
