Job Description

The Welder I is responsible for performing high-quality welding processes, including GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG), to support the fabrication of medical devices. This role requires strict adherence to company policies, quality standards, and safety practices within a regulated manufacturing environment.

This position works under close supervision and follows detailed instructions to ensure precision and compliance.

What will you be doing?

Welding Operations

  • Perform welding using GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) processes

  • Operate and maintain welding equipment in a safe and efficient manner

  • Perform basic measurements using:

    • Micrometers

    • Calipers

    • Angle finders

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete required documentation in accordance with:

    • Company Quality Manual and procedures

    • FDA, QSR, and applicable domestic and international regulations

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work effectively in a team environment

  • Communicate clearly and actively participate in process and product improvement initiatives

Safety & Maintenance

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment

  • Perform basic equipment maintenance as needed

Additional Duties

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What will you need to be successful?

Education & Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Vocational/Technical certification or equivalent military experience preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of welding experience

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, and precision measurement tools

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints

  • Basic math skills

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Manufacturing environment with a focus on medical device fabrication
