 DC Maintenance Worker – Full-Time + OT

Sally Beauty Holdings – Distribution Center
Location: 4309 Janitrol Rd., Columbus, OH 43228
Conveniently located near I-270 on the west side of Columbus

This role focuses on maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. This is a hands-on, skilled position in a fast-paced distribution environment.


Schedule

  • Tuesday–Thursday | 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Overtime opportunities available based on business needs

Position Overview

The DC Maintenance Worker is responsible for preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep across warehouse equipment and systems. This role ensures equipment reliability and supports overall distribution center operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment including conveyors, forklifts, dock equipment, and machinery
  • Maintain and service industrial batteries (charging, watering, and changing)
  • Inspect and maintain safety systems including fire suppression, sprinklers, and equipment checks
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (up to 480VAC), plumbing, and building systems
  • Support installations of new equipment and facility improvements
  • Perform routine inspections (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly)
  • Maintain safe work practices and report hazards
  • Ensure clean and organized work areas

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance mechanic experience required
  • Strong mechanical skills with basic electrical knowledge
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and general building maintenance
  • Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and facility systems
  • Basic computer skills (warehouse systems experience a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve

  • Physical work including lifting 10–55 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, and climbing ladders
