Are you ready to build data compliance tools that reduce effort for colleagues across the LEGO® Group? This Software Engineer role sits in the Data Office, creating APIs and user interfaces for safer, simpler data use.
Based in Billund, Denmark, without relocation assistance!
Core Responsibilities
• Build compliance APIs and interfaces that help Data Citizens meet requirements with less effort.
• Partner with platform colleagues to shape manifests, usage agreements and governance role workflows.
• Develop services using Python, Terraform, Typescript and data engineering practices.
• Support secure access patterns for personal data, attribute policies and right-to-be-forgotten needs.
• Share SCRUM delivery practices, testing habits and integration methods across the squad.

The LEGO Data Platform Compliance team builds practical tools that help our Data Citizens work with personal data, access rules and quality expectations. Together with engineers and governance colleagues, you will reduce manual effort while strengthening the foundations for compliant data use across the organization. This is hands-on engineering with real impact.
Do you have what it takes?
• Experience building software with Python, API design and Infrastructure as Code.
• Comfortable working in SCRUM teams and translating needs into shippable increments.
• Understanding of data engineering principles and compliant personal data handling.
• Advanced English for clear collaboration across product, engineering and governance conversations.
Nice to Have:
• Familiarity with Databricks or another SaaS data platform.
• Experience with testing approaches and integration methods in engineering teams.
