Job Summary
The Trusser Labor position is responsible for properly positioning and securing poultry products during the processing operation to ensure products meet Tyson Foods' quality, yield, and food safety standards. Team members work in a fast-paced production environment and play a critical role in maintaining production flow, product consistency, and customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Position and secure poultry products according to established production standards.
- Inspect products for quality, defects, and proper placement before moving to the next processing stage.
- Maintain production line speed while ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Follow all food safety, USDA, and Tyson Foods policies and procedures.
- Identify and report product defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns to leadership.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow all lockout/tagout, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with other production tasks as assigned by management.
- Support team goals by maintaining attendance, productivity, and teamwork standards.
