Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Manager – India
The India SIOP Manager, is responsible for delivering a balanced demand and supply plan for the India region by aligning volume and mix with regional manufacturing capacity, supplier capabilities, and inventory policies. This role integrates the India commercial forecast with operations, sourcing, and financial plans to deliver forward-looking plans that balances priorities across the supply chain to support Milacron India’s growth, customer service, and margin objectives.
This position requires an understanding of demand planning, scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory control. The SIOP Manager will work closely with the regional commercial teams for demand planning and provide feedback on forecasting accuracy, regional supply chain teams to develop sourcing plans to meet the demand, operations teams to cover workforce requirements and capacity planning, and Finance on revenue and inventory goals.
The India SIOP Manager will report to the global Director of SIOP, providing progress updates on key metrics and initiatives and ensuring alignment with the global corporate strategy and will have dotted line reporting to the India Supply Chain Leader to coordinate regional priorities. This role will interact with counterparts in other global regions to ensure intercompany demand is addressed and planned for.
Key Responsibilities
The SIOP Manager is responsible for ensuring a consistent SIOP execution across the Milacron India business by coordinating and preparing data & material for monthly SIOP meetings that will facilitate cross functional decisions around demand, supply, operations capacity, and inventory planning and approved plans are executed to.
Facilitate monthly SIOP meetings, following the established cycle and coordinating cross-functional participation from sales, product management, supply chain, operations, engineering, logistics, and finance.
Follow established SIOP processes to ensure consistency throughout the organization. Drive continuous improvement as the regional advocate, adapting for regional requirements and sharing learnings that can be applied globally.
Work closely with Sales and Business Unit on planning and executing the ramp-up and ramp-down products and making the connection with demand & inventory planning.
Manage the aggregation of the demand plan from 0-24 months interact with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
Translate approved demand plans into manufacturing and sourcing plans for India production sites and regional suppliers.
Coordinate with operations and supply chain to create end to end scenario planning to be able to commit supply as per the available capacity and components and assess the impact on customer service.
Define and manage strategic inventory levels to support growth, service, and lead-time requirements in the India Region.
Identify and proactively manage excess and obsolete inventory, including mitigation and redeployment strategies to limit P&L exposure.
Monitor forecast accuracy and demand volatility, triggering corrective actions to reduce inventory and service risks.
Supporting localization and supplier development initiatives in collaboration with Procurement and Operations
Calculate key performance metrics that advise continuous improvement goals of the SIOP process and business in general. Includes demand forecasting accuracy, inventory health, labor utilization projections, and product lead times.
Identify significant business risks and propose mitigation plan to the leadership teams
Qualifications/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, Statistics, Economics, Operations, or Business
5+ years of Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Vendor Forecasting,
Analytical and problem solving ability
Strong communication and organization skills
Support value engineering and localization initiatives
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement reports
Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP Systems
High proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint
