
Sales Planning Manager
Job Description
The Sales Planning Manager will be key, as the unbiased function, to lead the multi-functional team efforts in accurately planning the true demand and supply (stock &allocation) in short term and long term, enable stock availability by location, optimizing the allocation process.
This role will be bringing the outside in, ensuring high quality and accuracy in Dyson’s sales planning efforts, feeding accurate information to Sales team so they can balance the sell in & replenishment and maximize the sell-out.
About the role:
- Lead planning, allocation and replenishment of all physical sales locations for all finished goods and accessories.
- Lead and optimize NPD launch planning for all physical locations
- Optimize promo and GWP plans by location to maximize the sell out and availability.
- Lead transformation of current process & ways of working to deliver a new operating model for “best in class” planning across the retail sales locations.
- Optimize the portfolio per location, closely monitor the performance and manage actively portfolio offering per location.
- Ensure the high productivity and availability per location with the aim of maximize service level and sell-out
- Own the allocation process and availability per direct locations to maximize the availability.
- Own the trade stock level per locations and actively involve the sell-in and allocation process for 3P channels
- Own the retail forecasting process
- Become the single point of contact for demand planning manager and finance manager
- Analyse and monitor in month forecast and weekly review the progress (PGI management) by utilizing historical data, market trends and inputs from sales and marketing teams to build accurate, location-based bottom-up forecasting
- Review and analyse annual forecast planning with bottom-up approach
- Manage NPD planning and budget forecasting.
- Own the long-term strategic planning for retail locations.
- Become an active partner in retail expansion, provide analysis for new locations and closely monitor new openings performance.
- Develop review per week, month and quarter with deep dive analysis of demand patterns and identify factors that may impact demand fluctuations.
- Coordinate efforts to achieve our targets (volume and value), timely identify gaps vs. target if any and ensure proper allocation of resources to maximize profit.
- Lead and drive inventory management KPIs for the retail business
- Manage and communicate a suite of relevant KPI’s with a strong focus behind Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement, communicated to key stakeholders in a meaningful way.
- Proactively identify opportunities for planning process improvement.
- Overall lead a culture of data driven business management
- Implements enabling technologies and/or support deployment of global solutions in the region

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Engineering or related field
- +7/8 years of experience in planning management
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SAP and other data analysis tools
- Proficiency in planning software’s and statistical forecasting techniques
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
