Job Description
As a Product Safety Manager, you will lead technical investigations into alleged product safety incidents, perform deep root‑cause analysis, and coordinate communication with internal stakeholders and authorities. You will collect and analyse safety‑related market issues, conduct forensic investigations, and ensure that corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
You will coordinate the Electrolux European Product Safety Advisory Committee (BA‑PSAC) and report critical matters to the Global Product Safety Advisory Committee (GPSAC). You will support the Electrolux response team in the event of safety‑related issues and ensure robust governance of product bonding activities.
You will continuously monitor upcoming changes in EU legislation and product safety standards, assess the impact, and provide timely alerts to Product Line R&D teams. Working closely with R&D, you will translate new regulatory requirements into clear instructions, product specifications, and procedural updates.
This role will also represent Electrolux in discussions with EU regulatory bodies and industry associations, influencing the development of future product safety legislation and contributing to Electrolux’s European product safety strategy.

Core Responsibilities
Incidents Management
Manage potential alleged product safety incidents, including investigations, risk assessments, and contact with authorities.
Collect and analyse market issues related to product safety and identify potential hazards via internal or third‑party investigations.
Lead, analyse, and report on incident reviews.
Implement safety improvements based on findings to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Apply forensic investigative techniques, including cause‑and‑effect analysis.
Collect, interpret, summarise, and present qualitative data for planning and policy development.
Ensure preventive and corrective measures are effectively implemented.
Governance & Coordination
Coordinate the Electrolux regional product safety advisory committee (BA‑PSAC).
Escalate critical issues to the global product safety advisory committee (GPSAC).
Support the Electrolux response team during safety‑related incidents.
Oversee regional product bonding activities in accordance with corporate policies.
Company Policies
Collaborate with Group Product Compliance to update and maintain Electrolux product safety policies and guidelines.
Ensure effective implementation of product safety policies across relevant EU functions.
Monitoring, Alerts & Implementation
Track upcoming EU legal and safety standard changes affecting product compliance and safety.
Provide timely alerts and impact assessments to internal stakeholders.
Work with Product Line R&D teams to integrate safety requirements into procedures (e.g., PSRA), product specifications, and design instructions.
Regulatory Engagement & Advocacy
Represent Electrolux in interactions with EU regulatory authorities and industry associations.
Influence future EU product safety legislation and industry standards.
Qualifications
Strong experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, product development, engineering, or risk assessment.
Solid understanding of EU product safety legislation and standards.
Proven experience conducting technical investigations or root‑cause analyses.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
Experience engaging with regulatory authorities or industry associations is a plus.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and alignment‑building capabilities.
Ability to work cross‑functionally and operate in a matrix environment.
Where You’ll Be
The role is based in Brussels and involves collaboration with multiple Product Lines, R&D teams, and Group functions across Europe. Occasional travel may be required for investigations, committee meetings, or regulatory engagements.
