We are seeking an accomplished and strategic facilities management leader to join our organization as General Manager – Group Facilities.
This executive-level role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and lead the facilities management strategy across a large and diverse portfolio of local and regional operations. Reporting to the Sector Head – Real Estate, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing infrastructure performance, enhancing workplace experiences, and ensuring the effective stewardship of the Group’s facilities assets.

Key Responsibilities
As General Manager – Group Facilities, you will:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Group-wide facilities management strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Drive long-term infrastructure planning, workplace optimization, asset sustainability, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies, standards, and best practices across all facilities operations.
Operational & Team Leadership
- Lead and inspire facilities teams across multiple locations and territories.
- Build organizational capability through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
- Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, customer service, and operational excellence.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Oversee the Group Facilities operating and capital budgets.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining high service standards.
- Review and approve major facilities expenditures, procurement initiatives, contracts, and vendor partnerships.
Asset & Infrastructure Management
- Lead preventative maintenance programs and asset lifecycle management strategies.
- Oversee major capital projects, infrastructure upgrades, and facilities improvement initiatives.
- Ensure facilities assets remain reliable, efficient, and aligned with business requirements.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on facilities strategy, performance, risk, and investment decisions.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure facilities services support operational effectiveness and business continuity.
- Drive exceptional service delivery and workplace experiences across the organization.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead risk management, emergency preparedness, and business continuity planning initiatives.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and operational resilience across the Facilities Division.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Property Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field would be considered an asset.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive facilities management experience, including at least five (5) years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-site and regional facilities operations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, capital planning, cost control, and executive reporting.
- Proven ability to lead large teams, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic change.
- Professional certification such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), IFMA, BIFM, or equivalent would be an asset.
