ASRC Federal is looking for a Program Security Support Specialist I. The Program Security Support Specialist I role is an entry-level position designed to support the protection of classified information, personnel, and facilities within a government contracting environment. This role contributes to maintaining compliance with federal security regulations and internal policies, ensuring that sensitive programs operate within established security frameworks. Individuals in this position work closely with security teams and program leadership to uphold standards aligned with national defense and intelligence missions, often requiring a strong understanding of controlled environments and discretion when handling sensitive information. The position also plays a key role in supporting day-to-day security operations across multiple stakeholders. This role serves as a foundational step within the industrial security field, offering exposure to personnel, physical, and program security functions while supporting broader mission objectives tied to government and defense-related programs.
Job Description:
Assists in development and administration of security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, sale of counterfeit products, documents, and equipment
Guards, patrols, and polices industrial premises to protect property and staff against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other hazards
Periodically tours premises; examines doors to determine that they are secure; observes departing staff to guard against thefts of company property; inspects equipment and stores to ascertain if tampering has occurred, reports irregularities, sounds alarm, and permits authorized persons to enter property
Examines credentials of persons desiring entrance to restricted areas and when necessary, provides access cards to the facility and maintains access logs for accountability
Investigates security infractions/violations, provides incident reports with precise details of the events and suggests preventive action to be taken
Conducts regular bag checks in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117
Consistently maintains posture/presence on jobsite
Responsible for memorizing emergency response procedures in accordance with the facility SOP
Upkeeps records and logs for all occurrences onsite
Investigates all occurrences such as: tamper/motion alarms, fire alarms, suspicious activity
Escorts uncleared visitors, when necessary, to ensure proper safeguarding of onsite materials
Conducts regular checks of all sensitive areas and completes all necessary accountability logs
Locks all doors, ensures all areas are safe, and arms intrusion detection systems/completes all relative logs after each shift
Communicates with all onsite employees pertaining to security-related matters
Facilitates incoming and outgoing shipments in the form of mail and packages
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience or a High School diploma with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Broad knowledge in concepts related to general security and safety protocols.
Experience in incident/general report writing
Preferred Qualifications:
CCTV system usage
Access Control Systems
Intrusion Detection Systems
Current Secret Clearance
