Job Purpose
The Senior Electrical Designer is responsible for executing electrical design and drafting activities across Oil & Gas projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, client requirements, and timely delivery. The role requires hands-on expertise in 2D and 3D design tools, close coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Roles and Responsibilities – Technical Execution
- Execute electrical design and drafting activities EPC/Detail Engineering projects.
- Interpret project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
- Handling 3D modeling activities (SP3D) for the offshore detail Engineering project independently.
- Coordinate with multidiscipline engineering teams.
2D Design & Drafting
- Develop and check drawings in AutoCAD.
- Prepare SLDs, layouts, cable routing, lighting, grounding, and substation drawings.
- Ensure compliance with international standards and client specifications.
3D Modeling & Coordination
- Perform modeling using SP3D.
- Model cable trays, equipment, and lighting systems.
- Participate in model reviews and clash resolution.
Project Execution & Coordination
- Support planning and delivery of design outputs as per schedule.
- Interface with project teams and Workshare team.
- Support TQs, site queries, and design updates.
- Contribute to MTOs.

Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years in Electrical design for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Middle East project experience preferred.
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD, SP3D.
- Knowledge of ADNOC Drafting Standards.
- Knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards and industrial electrical systems.
