JOB SUMMARY
The Senior HCM Consultant is a strategic, client-facing leader responsible for leading complex HCM implementations, system integrations, and data migration initiatives. This role serves as a subject matter expert in HR technology, providing advanced consulting, solution design, and project leadership for clients. The Senior HCM Consultant partners with client leadership, mentors internal team members, and ensures HCM solutions are optimized to support long-term business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Relations
Cultivate trusted advisor relationships with clients by providing strategic guidance on HCM technology, system optimization, and HR process improvement.
Client Communication
Lead system-focused discussions with client leaders and stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable HCM solutions and presenting recommendations clearly and confidently.
HCM Strategy & Solution Design
Design and oversee complex HCM implementations, configurations, and enhancements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
Data Migration & System Integration Leadership
Lead large-scale data and document migration efforts, overseeing accuracy, security, testing, and validation across multiple systems and integrations.
Project Leadership & Oversight
Manage end-to-end HCM projects, including scope definition, timelines, resource coordination, and risk mitigation. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
Serve as a technical mentor to HCM Consultants, providing guidance, quality assurance, and escalation support for complex system challenges.
Change Management & Adoption
Support clients through system change by developing training strategies, communication plans, and adoption best practices.
Compliance & Risk Management
Advise clients on data privacy, system controls, and compliance considerations related to HR technology and employee data.
Vendor & Platform Partnerships
Collaborate with HCM vendors and third-party providers to resolve issues, manage enhancements, and stay informed on product updates and roadmap changes.
Internal Leadership & Improvement
Contribute to internal process improvement, documentation, and standards related to HCM delivery and project execution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- 5–8 years of progressive experience working with Paylocity
- Proven experience leading complex HCM implementations, integrations, and data migrations
- Advanced knowledge of HCM platforms and third-party HR technology solutions
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused recommendations
- Experience mentoring or leading junior consultants
- Certifications such as PMP, HRIP, SHRM-SCP, or relevant HCM certifications strongly preferred
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to move between office spaces and meeting areas
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standard office environment with frequent collaboration across teams and clients
- Occasional travel for client meetings or implementation activities
